narcissus minor var. pumilus plenus rip van winkle
This very attractive dwarf narcissi produces a star burst of intense double yellow flowers in early Spring.
Superb as a centre piece for your patio displays or in rock gardens, beds and borders.
The clustered flowers can be used as a cutflower but be careful as they do omit a sticky goo which is toxic to other flowers.
Interesting Note: Rip Van Winkle a story set in the years before and after the American Revolution is set in an old village at the base of the Catskill Mountains founded by early Dutch settlers. Based on a hen pecked character, ever willing to help his neighbours but unwilling to turn his hand to work at home.
