Cornfield annuals, once a common feature of traditional farming areas, have largely disappeared from their former habitat. This mixture can be used to re-create those areas and gives an outstanding display of colour in its first year, either sown on its own or to supplement a mixture of perennial species which are slower to establish. To produce a display of cornfield annual every year, a re-seeding programme should be implemented to build up a seed bank. After several years there will be enough seed to be regenerated by soil disturbance.
